Cloud Storage Application

Summary:

An application designed to securely store and share documents for USAF Aircrew

• Securely access files via iOS application

• Local file synchronization

• Receive a live notification when a newer version of a file has been uploaded

• Share files within the application

• Send links to files to share files outside the application

My Role:

Lead UX Designer
As the lead UX designer, I worked with a team that consisted of:

• 5 Developers

• 1 Product Manager

• 2 USAF Stakeholders from Andrews Air Force Base

Research & Discovery:

• Ongoing 1:1 interviews with participants

• Affinity mapping, user personas

• Regular feedback and user testing based on iterative designs

Participant Roles:

• Pilot and operations

Research Goals:

• September 2021: Understand the types of documents that need to be stored, including:

  • File size

  • Device constraints

  • Current workflow and pain points in that process

• Dec 2021: Iterate designs and continue to gather feedback.

Onboarding Screens

The main goals of the onboarding screens are to:

• Summarize the features included in the Cloud Storage Application

• Guide the user by managing expectations for specific icons and navigation

• Set the tone and brand message through UX writing
